Compose's roadmap tool is meant to help you plan which hypotheses should be tested each month. It is a quick way to see what tests are currently running and what is on the docket, and it's easy to drag and drop hypotheses to keep things flexible since exact experiment timelines can sometimes be unknown.
Add hypotheses to the roadmap
Hypotheses can be added to the Roadmap from the Hypothesis List.
From there, give it a name that will display on the roadmap and decide what month to put it under. The hypothesis can also be linked to an experiment from here if there is one already created (or you can link it when you create the experiment later). You need to have a roadmap name because you can add a hypothesis to the roadmap multiple times. For example, maybe you have a hypothesis that adding an in-cart offer would increase revenue conversions, but you decide to run multiple experiments with different offers.
Revising the roadmap
Simply click and hold the icon with six dots on the far right to drag and drop the roadmap item to a different month or order. You can also drag it to the bottom to remove it from the roadmap.
Experiment colors on the roadmap
Purple: Linked to an active experiment
Green: Linked to a completed experiment (displayed above)
Grey: Linked to a draft experiment
Grey with slash: Not linked to an experiment
Why the roadmap is important
Although the planning tools in Compose are not necessary in order to execute your CRO and experimentation strategy, we believe they can help your team be more efficient and effective. Learn more about how and why to get started with strategic planning.
